Welcome,

This is our class page, my name is Mrs Edmonds and I am very excited to continue on our journey this year. We are now half of the way through our first year of school! How exciting! So many adventures and different opportunities to enjoy over the next few months.

Here are some facts about me..

I have a sixteen year old son called Harry.
I love to watch non-league football and I try to watch as many games as I can.
I love reading. My favourite story when I was little was "The Frog Prince"

Our learning support assistant this year will be Miss Castle. Mrs Castle is amazing and is looking forward to starting our journey in Reception this year.

Important Information

PE - PE sessions are on a Monday and Thursdays. Please ensure that the correct PE kits are brought into school every Monday so that your child can participate in the sessions. PE kits will be sent home on a Friday so that they can be washed and then returned to school for Monday. Earrings must be removed on PE days. Staff are not permitted to remove these for the children. Please ensure all P.E kit is labelled.

Water bottles- On your child’s first day at school they will be issued with a school water bottle. Your child will take this home each day for it to be washed and filled ready for the next day. They should not be using water bottles other than one purchased from school.

Reading books - Your child will bring home a colour banded book that is matched to their reading ability Please try to read with your child every day. When you do read with them, kindly make a note of the date and title in their reading records.

Please note that your child’s first few books will be a book with no words.

Reading records and books must be brought to school every day.

Homework- Once the children have settled we will begin to set simple homework. On Friday we will set a piece of homework which should be returned by the following Friday.

Change of clothes: Sometimes children will have toilet accidents. Could we ask for a small bag to stay at school with a change of clothes please.

Phonics
