The Avenue

Welcome to The Avenue, We are an Alternative Provision within Templars Academy. Our Enhanced Provision provides support for children who have difficulties with their Social, Emotional and Mental health (SEMH) skills.

Our team is made up of 4 members off staff. 

Miss Lill - The Avenue's lead. 

Miss Corfield  - Specialist support

Mrs McKellar - Specialist Support 

 Miss Seaman  - Specialist Support 

We also work incredibly close with the current SENCO within Templars, Mrs Reardon. Mrs Reardon currently comes into The Avenue on a Thursday, within this time she completes in depth SEN (Special Educational Needs) support work with those children. Our Team works and supports children across the whole of Mid-Essex, who have faced many different challenges in their current home schools. All of the staff within The Avenue are trained with Trauma Perceptive Practise (TPP). 

The Avenue's aim is to build the young persons, confidence and emotional regulation skills to help get them back into their home school mainstream setting. 

As a team, we work extremely hard to build relationships, not only with the children but with parents. We find it very important to have positive working relationships with all of our children’s parents to ensure we can support the family as best as we possibly can. We also work closely with other outside agencies.
