The Greatest Show at Templars Academy
Year 6 leavers video based on The Greatest Showman.
A BIG Thank You to all the staff at Xplore for leading all the activities and looking after us all. The children have enjoyed every moment and made many memories and have been a huge credit to Templars and did not go unnoticed. Then last but not least the staff, Miss Irvine, Miss Smith, Mrs Hounslow and Miss White who gave up their time to attend to make it possible and have loved being apart of it.
A lot of sleepy heads this morning after such a late night partying! Bags are packed and beds were stripped before heading out to a breakfast of Scrambled Egg and Crossiants.
The children are taking part in the last of the activities before lunch and the heading back to school for 3.30pm.
With a cooked breakfast to start the day, we were ready to meet Jungle Jim. But little did we know Jungle Jim encourages a battle of teams using flour and water while covered in Face Paint!
After lunch we are off swimming....
The children had a nice lay-in this morning, the boys are wearing their England shirts and the girls have all had their hair plaited by Miss Irvine. They are all really enjoying the food provided and made the most of bacon, eggs and pancakes for breakfast.
Todays activities include; air rifles, crate climbing, making bottle rockets and orienteering.
Despite the result, the children enjoyed an evening of football and treats!
They are now tucked up in bed and the staff are currently awaiting the children to fall asleep so the Residential Tooth Fairy can visit!
Day 2 - All the children were up and dressed for breakfast at 8am. Another group took part in Quad Biking today and other activities we took part in were a Trust Trail, Xplore challenge and Bushcraft (this meant using flint and slate to make sparks!!!)
The children enjoyed a BBQ for dinner and took part in a Mini Olympics for this evenings games.
The children (and adults) have survived the first night. The boys are up and about and the girls are still soundo! We had a busy day yesterday with a group doing Quad Biking and others taking part in Archery and the view is beautiful!
