Modern Foreign Languages!
Wed 16 Sep 2020European Day of Languages
The European Day of Languages is celebrated across Europe on the 26th of September every year. It aims to promote the rich linguistic diversity of Europe and raise awareness of the importance of lifelong language learning for everyone. To mark this occasion, children in KS2 have taken part in an eTwinning project through the British Council. Our partner primary schools for this project are in Portugal, Slovakia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Finland, Romania, Spain, Poland, England, Czech Republic, Northern Ireland and France.
The children designed and made a postcard which either represented British Values or an aspect of British life, and on the reverse, in English, they wrote a short paragraph which included a message of hope. A selection of postcards across all classes was chosen and a different postcard was sent to each of the 18 primary schools involved in the project. We can’t wait to receive postcards from children in all the different countries which took part in this project, and to find out more about each country and their native language. The post cards we receive will be written in the main language for the country, plus English.

No entry for parents onto the school site
Wed 02 Sep 2020Following our risk assessment, please be aware that parents are not allowed on site, including walking up to the school office on the path or through the car park. You should only come to the office if called by our office staff in an emergency. If you need to contact the school office, please phone us on: 01376 513477 and we will be able to help you.
If you have anything to return to the school office, we will bring the 'drop-box' to the gates at the beginning and end of the day.
