Welcome back to your final half term at Templars Academy! You have lots to look forward to: the year 6 production, Harry Potter world and sports day to name a few.
Our creative links subject is DT. We will be constructing wooden boxes and creating wands from clay in line with our Harry Potter theme.
Who's who in year 6?
I'm Mrs Hounslow and I was Woodpeckers' teacher in year 5.
Fun fact: I have a super fun but completely bonkers dog called Reggie - those of you who were in Woodpeckers last year may have heard me mention him before and will already know I'm slightly dog mad!
I am so happy and excited to be with this fantastic year group for another year!
I'm Miss Harvey and I've transferred from another school within the MAT. I have a passion for reading, writing and being creative.
Fun fact: I used to volunteer at the local BBC station as a talk show panelist.
I'm Mrs Farbrother and this year I'm back in year 6 looking forward to helping lots of children.
Fun fact: I love climbing hills and going on long walks.
This half term, the children have their usual half termly project. However, we advise that the children submit one piece of homework each Friday, instead of all pieces at the end of the half term, as preparation for the quantity of homework the children will be expected to complete in secondary school. The total the children must complete is 6 pieces of homework.
PE will usually take place for the whole year group on a Friday. However, please ensure PE kits are in school everyday - there are rare occasions when the days may have to be changed based around other events happening in the school.
