Meet Your Teachers
Miss Harvey
Hello and welcome to our class page! My name is Miss Harvey and I will be teaching Year 2 this year.
I moved to Templars Academy, in 2018, from another school within the MAT and have been responsible for coordinating English across both key stages.
I am very much looking forward to all of the brilliant themes we have planned and hope to make your learning as fun and memorable as possible! I'm incredibly passionate about reading and can't wait to share many brilliant stories and poems with everybody. As J.K Rowling once quoted, "I do believe something very *magical* can happen when you read a good book."
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places and going on long walks. I also have a very cute but mischievous kitten called Mila!
Miss Humphries
Hello! I'm Miss Humphries and I will be supporting Miss Harvey in Year 2 this year.
I really enjoy supporting the children with their learning and watching them grow and succeed and hope I can do just that this year.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my little boy. We particularly like sharing stories together, playing Lego and having fun on days out, one of our favourite places to go is the Zoo!
Important class information

* South Kensington have P.E on Tuesday and Friday. Kits will be sent home on the Monday to be washed.
* Children are able to change their reading books as soon as they have finished reading them. However, we are also dedicating time on a Friday afternoon for children to change their books before the weekend.

Please use the documents below to practise your Year 1 and 2 common exception word spellings along with the first 200 high frequency words.
We have recently subscribed to 'Spelling Shed', an online scheme which allows the children to practise their weekly spellings at home. On a Thursday, the children will be set spellings according to the week's taught rule/pattern and then tested on these the following Thursday.
