In Hyde Park Corner we love to learn through play!
Any child's first year at school is the most important stage of their schooling journey. This year provides children with the skills and foundations necessary to later progress onto a more formal approach to learning as they move their way through the school. Our nursery offers children lots of opportunities to learn and explore through play within our continually changing provision areas (indoors and outdoors). The children will learn through a mixture of adult led and child initiated learning, both of which are equally important in helping children develop.
PE: Our sports session will be every Monday morning. At this time, the children will not need a PE kit although they will be encouraged to take off their shoes and socks to participate.

Dough Disco.
In Hyde Park Corner we love Dough Disco.
Dough Disco is a great activity for helping us to develop our fine motor skills. It strengthens the muscles in our hands and develops our hand-eye co-ordination which will later enable us to hold a pencil correctly and use it effectively. These are essential skills that we need to later be able to write.
