Interesting facts about Bank Station
Bank and Monument are actually interlinked underground stations named after the nearby London landmarks of the Bank of England and the Monument to the Great Fire of London. It not only appears on the central line but serves the Northern, Waterloo & City lines as well as the DLR.
You might get easily lost at this station with no less than 12 exits, that’s more than any other London station! Another reason to get lost at Bank is the station’s DLR concourse which is a whopping 41.4 meters underground, the city’s deepest station below street level!
Class teacher and LSA
Hello, I’m Miss C Gooding. I am so pleased to be teaching Bank this year! I cannot wait for us to embark on all of our learning we will complete this year. We have lots of exciting themes to make our learning as exciting and enjoyable as possible.
I particularly like teaching Science as I love investigating and finding out information from observations, I am hoping we will be carrying out lots of experiments this year.
In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy baking lots of different treats, especially American bakery goods, but I also enjoy doing exercise, going on lots of walks and looking after my guinea pig Boris.
I am also really looking forward to us all getting to work with Miss Humphries. Most of the children have already been lucky enough to have her supporting their learning and know how amazing she is!
Miss Humphries - Hello! I'm Miss Humphries and I will be supporting Miss C Gooding in Year 3 this year.
I really enjoy supporting the children with their learning and watching them grow and succeed and hope I can do just that this year.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my son. We particularly like sharing stories together, playing Lego and having fun on days out, one of our favourite places to go is the Zoo!
It is really important to practice your spellings and times tables at home as well as during learning time in school, Ed Shed is a great place to be able to practice your spelling through activities whilst at home. This year we will be focusing on the 3, 4 and 8 times tables. Try not only learning these in order but backwards and in a random order to thoroughly test your knowledge!
