Here we are in our second term of year 6 already! It is lovely to hear you have all enjoyed the Christmas break and the time spent with your families.
We are all really looking forward to this term and watching your characters and learning grow and develop further still.
Our creative links subject is music, which will be focused on The Jackson 5 - I’ll be there. You will be using lots of musical language such as timbre, dynamics, tempo and pitch, and also composing your own musical masterpieces!
Who's who in year 6?
I'm Mrs Hounslow and I was Woodpeckers' teacher in year 5.
Fun fact: I have a super fun but completely bonkers dog called Reggie - those of you who were in Woodpeckers last year may have heard me mention him before and will already know I'm slightly dog mad!
I am so happy and excited to be with this fantastic year group for another year!
I'm Miss Harvey and I've transferred from another school within the MAT. I have a passion for reading, writing and being creative.
Fun fact: I used to volunteer at the local BBC station as a talk show panelist.
I'm Mrs Farbrother and this year I'm back in year 6 looking forward to helping lots of children with their SATs.
Fun fact: I love climbing hills and going on long walks.
PE will usually take place for the whole year group on a Monday and Tuesday. However, please ensure PE kits are in school everyday - there are rare occasions when the days may have to be changed based around other events happening in the school.
