We are into our second half term now and Christmas is fast approaching. All of the adults in year 6 are so pleased with the year sixes and everything they have achieved so far... they continue to wow us daily with their hard work and excellent attitudes.
Hounslow East are completing some fantastic animal projects, looking at some of the world's most deadly animals! Holborn are completing an exciting project based on the media and writing their own screenplays!
Our first creative links subject is geography, in which the children will learn how to be geographers and carry out their own fieldwork.
Who's who in year 6?
Lots of you will already know me! I'm Mrs Hounslow and I was Woodpeckers' teacher in year 5.
Fun fact: I have a super fun but completely bonkers dog called Reggie - those of you who were in Woodpeckers last year may have heard me mention him before and will already know I'm slightly dog mad!
I am so happy and excited to be with this fantastic year group for another year!
I'm Miss Harvey and I've transferred from another school within the MAT. I have a passion for reading, writing and being creative.
Fun fact: I used to volunteer at the local BBC station as a talk show panelist.
I'm Mrs Farbrother and this year I'm back in year 6 looking forward to helping lots of children with their SATs.
Fun fact: I love climbing hills and going on long walks.
This is my second year working alongside Year 6 and I am thrilled to be doing it all over again! Especially because of all the exciting things we have planned to make your last year memorable! As you all know I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter and that will pop up at some point this year, so have your wands at the ready!
Fun Fact: I love to dance, I still take lessons now... Ballet!
PE will usually take place for the whole year group on a Thursday. The children will also do PE on either a Monday or a Friday. Please ensure PE kits are in school everyday - there are rare occasions when the days may have to be changed based around other events happening in the school.
