Welcome back!
We hope you have all had a fantastic half term and you are refreshed and ready to learn. We have lots planned this year and we hope you are as excited for the lead up to Christmas.
Our Learning this half term
In English, we will be focusing on basic sentence building, the use of capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. We will also be looking at and creating descriptions based around the circus and then instruction writing based on the Elves and the shoemaker. In maths, we will be focusing on recognising numbers, recognising and sorting amounts of objects, using the part whole method to solve problems and number bonds to 10 using addition and subtraction. In Science we will be learning about materials. Finally, we will be focusing on music in creative links. We will also have daily phonics and handwriting sessions. In week 2 this half term with will be doing a cross curricular project based on all things circus!!
P.E
Please ensure that your PE kit is in school everyday, just in case. You will need to ensure you have an indoor and outdoor kit available each week. You do not want to miss out! If children are wearing earrings then please ensure they are removed before these days. This half term PE will be regularly taught on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
