We hope you have all had a fantastic half term and you are refreshed and ready to learn. We have lots planned this term and we hope you are as excited as we are.
On this web page we will be putting lots of information about all the exciting things we will be doing in our class throughout the year.
In EYFS the children have lots of opportunities to learn and explore through play within our continually changing provision areas (indoors and outdoors). The children will learn through a mixture of adult led and child initiated learning, both of which are as equally important in a child's development.
This term we will be learning about animals in cold countries, similarities and differences as well as their habitat, linked with Literacy and science where we will be reading the story of Lost and found and learning how to use different resources to build a boat, test it and find other ways to improve our work.
Working in teams is an important part in developing social skills so we have included stories like The smartest Giant in town to enrich values and friendship in our students, we will be meeting different people with different occupations, where children will have the opportunity to know better our community and different types of jobs.
In Phonics we will continue blending and segmenting as well as learning new diagraphs and triagraphs. In Maths we will learn to subtract, 3D shapes and beginning to solve simple word problems linked to real life.
Opportunities are provided all across EYFS for child initiated structured free play, as well as adult directed tasks that cover all seven areas of learning.

Please ensure that your PE kit is in school everyday, just in case. You will need to ensure you have an indoor and outdoor kit available each week. You do not want to miss out! If children are wearing earrings then please ensure they are removed before these days.
